How We Test

How we test: the promise behind every guide

AI products change every month — new plans, moved menus, renamed features. A how-to guide written from last quarter’s version isn’t just out of date, it’s actively misleading. So every guide on Smarter With Agents follows one rule, and this page explains it in full: we do the task ourselves, we show our work, and we come back and re-check it.

Tested on real accounts, doing real work

Every product guide starts as an actual task: setting up an account, connecting an app, running a workflow on real Gravity Plus client work or our own business, hitting the error and fixing it. We never write a guide from release notes, a press release, or another site’s article. If we haven’t done it, we don’t teach it.

The Tested-On box

Every product guide carries a box near the top that looks like this: Last updated: October 26, 2026 · Last tested: October 26, 2026 · Version tested: Muse / Muse Spark 1.3 · Tested on: App / Web / WhatsApp. If the dates on a guide are old, that’s us showing you the guide is due a re-check — the stamp is a promise we’re accountable for, not decoration.

Dated screenshots

Screenshots are captured fresh for each guide, cropped to the step they show, and captioned. We name and date them by month, so you can see at a glance whether what you’re looking at matches what’s on your screen today. If your screen looks different from our screenshot, the product has probably updated — the Contact page is the fastest way to tell us.

Prices and plans, checked against the source

Every price, plan limit and feature claim is checked against the vendor’s official pricing or help pages on the day we publish, and re-checked on the monthly cycle below. If we can’t verify a feature inside the product or on an official page, it doesn’t go in the guide.

Our update schedule

  • Monthly re-checks: pricing, plan comparisons, setup steps, permissions and privacy settings — the guides that go stale fastest.
  • Quarterly re-tests: feature how-tos, prompt guides and workflows — we re-run the core steps end to end.
  • Every six months: concept and decision guides get a refresh of examples and screenshots.
  • Within 7 days: if a product renames, moves or removes something a guide depends on, we update that guide within a week of confirming the change and add a short “What changed” note at the bottom of the article.

Corrections

Got something wrong? Tell us via the Contact page or [PUBLIC CONTACT EMAIL]. Confirmed corrections are made to the guide, the Last Updated date is bumped, and material changes are noted in the article’s “What changed” line. Reader corrections are credited in the change log where the reader is happy to be named.

What we never do

  • We never copy another site’s guide and reword it.
  • We never recommend a tool we haven’t tested for a relevant article — affiliate relationships are disclosed on the Affiliate Disclosure page and never change a test result.
  • We never leave instructions up for a feature that no longer exists. If a product removes something, the guide is updated to say so — or converted into a “what happened, and what to use instead” page.
